Know How to Read and Understand Food Nutrition Labels

Just a few years ago, I had no idea how to read and understand nutrition labels. As consumers, most of us go to Google, TV, newspapers, magazines, and our treating physicians for answers about what's good for us to keep us healthy.

I’ve got news for you, what they don't take into consideration is an important concept, called "bio-individuality”. No one diet works for everyone. One person's food is another person's poison."

Looking for answers and struggling to find answers to my own and my kids' health issues led me to discover the healing powers of nourishing, wholesome foods without dangerous refined sugars like corn syrup, artificial flavors and colors like Blue 40 and Yellow 5, as well as hydrogenated or vegetable oils like corn and canola oils. Our lives have gradually started to gain a new meaning.

We stopped getting sick as often as we did with recurrent infections, viruses, and digestive problems. Many of these gut-destroying ingredients, mentioned above, have been scientifically proven to slowly disrupt our immune system function, cause hormonal imbalance and metabolic syndrome to name a few. In the long run, creating irreversible changes to our cells and causing diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.

Therefore, I made it my mission and an integral part of my coaching to teach others, typically moms, how to read and understand food labels, so that they can promote health and reduce the risk of preventable conditions like constipation, diarrhea,  ear/eye infections, and skin issues using nutrition, mindfulness, and healthy lifestyle.
